Your Stay

Whether you are a fishing party or a family, walkers or writers, we want you to enjoy a wonderful stay at Tanar View.

Awaiting your arrival will be tea, coffee, sugar, milk, a loaf of home baked bread and a complimentary bottle of wine and some locally brewed beer allowing you to relax after your journey.  If you would like us to recommend or book a restaurant for the night of your arrival then we'd be happy to do so.   And while Tanar View has a fully equipped kitchen, if you'd prefer not to cook during your stay then we are delighted to recommend meals prepared and delivered to the door by Glen Tanar's housekeeper, Liz Peck.

You'll find up to date information about the area within the apartment but we are always happy to help with advice on places to go, things to do etc.  A selection of CDs, DVDs and games are provided for rainy days (but remember there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!).

You can park directly outside Tanar View on a small graveled area.  Underneath the apartment is a garage containing a freezer and washing machine with plenty of storage for bikes, skis etc plus a rod rack.  The weights frame and rowing machine can also be used by guests.  There is a tumble drier for use on request too.

We reside in the restored Mill House adjacent to Tanar View with our two German Shorthaired Pointers and our rescue cat.  We love dogs and we love travelling with our two so are happy to welcome them to our property however, dogs must be kept under control as wildlife and livestock are in abundance - and our cat is old and deaf!

Neil is a piper (nothing to do with the cat being deaf...) so you will hear the strains of the bagpipes from time to time.....
